Free Pumpkin Loaf Today!!!!
Yes! It was a free piece of pumpkin loaf today and of course a venti black ice tea... I started my day with a idea that I will get alot of stuff done. Stuff like laundry, dishes, cleaning, and just some good old house keeping. I want to be a better house keeper but fall short in all ways. I burned my finger ironing yesterday. It is not bad but how stupid can one get to burn a finger. It makes it hard to really think about doing heavy duty cleaning. It is so stupid. I decided to catch up on the other stuff... writing thank you notes and other junk. So I am off to work on being a better homemaker... It can't all be bad with a free piece of pumpkin loaf to start off the day.

Starbucks
I am a quilter who loves Starbucks ice tea and pumpkin loaf... This works fine when it is fall and the pumpkin loaf is offered everyday. The folks at Starbucks got smart and decided to offer the pl one of there big sellers the rest of the time... well because it is big seller. Writing this blog and hitting the showers and then it is off to find my Starbucks.
I have been working away this morning on little blocks that I redesign from a Blackbird Design. It has something like 400 blocks of in my case hand appliqued little baskets. I am very happy with getting one or more of these blocks done a day.
I am going to try to get some little projects done this weekend.... a penny rug who just need putting the penny's together.
So Starbucks... Penny's and little basket because.... I am a quilter

Quilt Shows
I am a quilter from southern California. I have been quilting for about 19 years. I don't produce a lot of quilts but I have big aspirations.
I am also a rug hooker. I dream about rugs too and try to hook and quilt everyday. That is my goal and I am putting out there maybe it will come true that I will get a lot more done.
My girls have now just finished college. I am (hope) to become a empty nester. I look at this as that I have done my job and not that I won't miss them but I hope they have their dreams and can go out into the world and conquer it.
I have been what I consider a artist so that is what I will be up to... living my dream.
This week I am going to a quilt show in Ontario, California. Wednesday and Thursday I will be going shopping and taking two class from Sharyn Craig. I will party with my friends and living quilting for two wonderful days.
Sharyn Craig is retiring from quilting after many years from quilting so this is one of her last gigs. She is a great teacher. She has goals, sets time limits and moves the class along to a get conclusion to a block or what ever she has in store. I have taken two other classes of hers and learned a lot. I think that she has made me better at piecing...a better quilter.
Well, I will continue on my road to being a artist, quilter and rug hooker.
